In 2019, Steven Chingwe, a 13-year-old boy from Mutoko rural area was playing soccer for leisure with other kids. Accidentally, he was hit on the right chick by another kid. According to Steven, he just felt an uneasy headache, but the pain didn't last for long which made him never to report the incident neither to any school teacher nor his parents. Also, there was no visible injury to raise concerns up until July 2020 when Steven's aunt noted his mild swollen chick. Everyone around Steven including his parents thought the kid was stung by a wasp or a bee. The condition did not vanish, instead it continued to progress up until his parents decided to take him to a local clinic on 14 September 2020. He was prescribed some basic pills and was advised to visit a doctor for further diagnosis (see clinic card attached). Due to the hope that Steven's condition would get better, they did not visit the doctor immediately up until 5 July 2021 when everyone could profoundly see the progressing deformation of Steven's face (see pictures). The doctor they visited at their local rural hospital was not a maxillofacial specialist and he advised them to go and visit a maxillofacial surgeon in the city for diagnosis with a total cost estimation of about USD$2500. Maxillofacial surgeons are dental specialists who treat conditions, defects, injuries and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws and face. Steven's parents couldn't afford such a big amount so no further diagnosis was rendered to Steven up to today and his condition is worsening each passing day (see pictures). On behalf of Steven Chingwe, Life Giving Foundation is kindly seeking for assistance so as to raise at least USD$3000 to take Steven for surgery. Kindly assist.
